WW1: American Propaganda
May — 2019

WW1: American Propaganda is a project about collections. Its purpose was to gather a number of elements and present them organized by different criteria: genealogy, colour, relations and value. I chose to work with american propaganda posters from the First World War.
All the 20 posters are presented in small square postcards with their respective information: title, author, year and theme. Along them there are included four spreads with the respective organization criteria, containing its name and explanation, and then the posters with their respective captions. When folded, all the spreads present the same kind of grid layout.

For genealogy they're organized by year and for relations the reference used is their theme (recruiting, financing and Red Cross). In the value section, the variable used is the number of Google image search results for each picture. Lastly, the colour system consists on the sum of hue values obtained through a generated colour palette for each different poster.
