The Sarkhej Roza is one of the finest monuments to demonstrate campus planning, where the religious, royal and social worlds co-exist without losing their serenity or identity. This complex is one of the finest examples of the medieval Gujarati architecture that is known as the Sultanate architecture.

There is an exquisitely controlled riot of Jharokhas, Jalis, carvings, domes and ingenious engineering here. This building alone can stand with the best architecture of any time and place.

For this assignment I took the intricately carved Jalis and pillars for inspiration.
Some motifs that were extracted from the inspirational images.
Some print concept that were made using the inspired motifs.
A mapped example of the fnal selected print.
A print repeat concept, hand drawn inspired by the Jalis and floral motifs of the monument.

The hand drawn concept was later revised converted into a vector graphic. I also explored making some coordinates for the main concept.
A mapped example of how the colorway of the print can be used.
A mapped example of how the colorway of the coordinate of the print can be used.
