Paper Note ~ Tangible Paper Waveform

Paper Note creates a tangible waveform by transforming a recording into a series of disks. The program enables a user to record a message or sound, which is then transformed into a waveform by sampling at different points within the recording. Each Paper Note is made up of 450 sample points that are then transformed into individual disks of paper. The louder the recording at a specific point, the larger the disk. The final length of the waveform is approximately 14 cm and the program was created using Processing. This project was created in collaboration with Andrew Spitz.

Special thanks goes out to Joshua Noble, David Gauthier and Marcin Ignac for their help and guidance in this project.
