Chhath Puja "Surya Aradhana"

Chhath (छठ पूजा)

Chhath, also known as Chhath Puja, is a traditional Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, Surya, and his consort Usha (Chhathi Maiya). It is primarily observed in the Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and in some parts of Nepal. The festival is celebrated twice a year: once in the summer (known as Chaiti Chhath) and once in the winter (known as Kartik Chhath), typically in October–November, around six days after Diwali.

Chhath Puja is a four-day festival characterized by various rituals, including fasting, holy bathing (in rivers, ponds, or other water bodies), and offering prayers to the Sun God during sunrise and sunset. The rituals are performed with great devotion, and it is believed that observing Chhath brings prosperity, longevity, and well-being to the family members.
