Contextual Statement.
Embodiment is a process based typeface focused on movement dissimilarities throughout environmental contexts. In the process of creating the font, two environmental contexts were established. One being a dance environment, and the other a student environment. These were used to determine the differences that context makes to qualities of movement, and illustrated through ink paintings which were used as the basis for the typeface. Both qualities of movement are reflected within the typeface, and are reminiscent of a flick and press; Expressions that reveal and embody the movements within each social and environmental context.
