Memory Lamp
A lamp made from a polar array of wooden sheets. The wooden sheets were engraved with important pictures from 2019-2023. The joints of this lamp are made by designing slits at each point of intersection to create a fit that does not require adhesive to assemble. Within the lamp is a color-changing orb.
The intended purpose of this lamp is to physically represent the passage of time, through memories. The identification of time is a human concept, realized through specific moments or experiences. The curvature of the lamp, as well as the experiences engraved and solidified into the wood highlights how we as humans interpret the concept of time.
