ANIMATED INFOGRAPHIC: LUNAR NEW YEAR 2023
As a Vietnamese, I embarked on an exciting journey to craft an animated infographic in celebration of the Lunar New Year 2023, with a special focus on the vibrant Vietnamese "Tết" traditions. The entire process was carefully orchestrated, blending colors, information, and a cute illustration style to captivate and entertain the audience.
The first step was selecting a color scheme that resonated with the essence of "Tết" and the Lunar New Year. Red, symbolizing luck and prosperity, was prominently featured to evoke the festive spirit. Yellow, representing wealth and fortune, added a touch of opulence to the design. Green, symbolizing growth and renewal, beautifully complemented the palette, signifying new beginnings in the new year.

In the spirit of captivating storytelling, the infographic was divided into three distinct sections. The first part encompassed a catchy headline with the infographic's title, a concise and engaging definition of "TẾT," and a source link to ensure credibility and authenticity. The second part, titled "What Lunar New Year 2023 is Like in Vietnam," featured a humorous and visually captivating illustration inspired by the famous meme "Woman yelling at a cat." This quirky and fun element was ingeniously employed to explain the differences between the Chinese Rabbit zodiac animal and the Vietnamese Cat zodiac animal, infusing humor into the informative content and effectively capturing the audience's attention.
Within the same section, a bar chart was used to depict how Vietnamese people allocate their money during this festive season, while a pie chart showcased the diverse styles of transportation they use to travel back to their hometowns. Additionally, the infographic provided a fascinating statistic on the global number of people celebrating the Lunar New Year, highlighting its global significance and popularity.
The third and final section, titled "Preparing and Celebrating Lunar New Year," presented a charming timeline that artfully narrated the various activities leading up to and during the first three days of the Lunar New Year. From the meticulous preparations to the joyous celebrations and their symbolic meanings, each step of the process was visually engaging, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the cultural richness of "Tết."

With subtle but impactful animations, the infographic became an interactive and dynamic experience, ensuring the audience was both informed and entertained.
